If you have been following my posts of late you would know that I went to an air show a couple of weeks ago. Air shows a famous for fast planes and huge crowds. Before the show I thought about the static display images I have seen and how I could do something different. I resolved to leave early and see what might happen. Rain fell during the night but was predicted to clear so I hoped the clearing sky might make an interesting sunrise. We managed to get on base earlier than we should have been allowed (we got waved through when some of the local vendors were making their way in). We found a place to park the car, then I headed for the Australian F18. The sight below was the reward for getting out of bed early… wow, sometimes things go way better than you could have expected… The funny thing about this trip was the amount of hurdles I had to get over just to go. The hurdles forced me to think how much do I really want to do this…passion in the end got me through and for me the finished image reminds me, that passion is the key ingredient, more than skill or gear…
